National Reach Starts With the Right Platform And With WABC You Go Global

Red Apple Media moves fast.

CBS News Radio prepares to go dark on May 22, leaving affiliates with the one question Red Apple Media has.

How do we fill the immediate programming gap in the top-of-the-hour news cycle?

Red Apple Media is moving aggressively to launch a new national news network designed to fill that void beginning May 23.

Lee Harris, who previously played a key role in major news operations, said the goal is to recreate a “network-quality experience” for stations that rely on top-of-the-hour news to lead into talk programming and fill unattended hours.

Editorially, the network is positioning itself around a “straight news” approach, with a focus on factual reporting and neutrality in presentation. Harris noted that reporters are being trained to “leave politics at the newsroom door” and deliver news intended for a national audience.

One network signs off, another signs on and Red Apple Media is making sure America doesn’t miss a beat.
