Poll Gives Trump Boost on Immigration, Fraud and Culture-War Issues

(Washington, DC) – A new Harvard/Harris poll is giving President Trump’s allies a strong argument that many of his biggest priorities have broad public support.

The survey shows voters backing several major Trump positions, including tougher action against criminal illegal immigrants, stronger crackdowns on government fraud and policies involving fairness in women’s sports.

The results are important because they separate Trump’s policies from the daily political chaos surrounding him. Democrats often frame his agenda as extreme, but Republicans say the numbers show voters agree with him on key issues affecting safety, spending and culture.

The poll also gives Trump a clearer message heading into future political fights: voters may not agree with everything he says, but many support the substance of what he is trying to do.

Democrats will likely argue that the wording of poll questions matters and that voters still have concerns about the broader Trump agenda. But Republicans are already pointing to the results as proof that Trump’s strongest issues remain powerful with the public.
