(Long Island, New York) – The Long Beach Police Department had their hands full this past week after a senior skip day went out with a bang. On Thursday, around 3,000 seniors of Nassau County and Queens hit the city’s boardwalks. The crowd hit the beach around 6pm to celebrate their un-official annual skip day.
Seniors were twerking and dancing on the cop cars while they responded to fights of other students. After police cleared the beaches around 7pm, the crowd dispersed into the streets causing more commotion. One scene got so rowdy that a teen was shot by the Long Island LIRR station, leading to the line being suspended. A gun was recovered from the beach, and the victim’s condition is unknown.
