NEW YORK (77WABC) — Gang initiation is being eyed in the apparently random shooting of an innocent 17-year-old on 118th Street in Jamaica, Queens Monday evening.
Video shows a group of four males — two armed — opening fire on the teen. The teen can be seen fleeing the shooters by running across the street.
.@NYPDTips is looking for individuals connected to a non-fatal shooting/assault on Aug. 8 by 150-42 118 Ave.
Individuals approached victim & two individuals discharged firearms at him. Victim sustained gunshot wound & was transported to hospital.

So far there have been no arrests.
The teen was struck in the leg and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. One bullet also hit a parked car, and the driver of a passing car escaped unscathed.
