Republicans Rally Outside Gracie Mansion Against COVID Vaccine Mandate in New York, US – 15 Aug 2021
New York, NY (77WABC)- Last Wednesday, New York City Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa held a press conference at Penn Station denouncing the homeless ‘humanitarian crisis.’
At one point, a shirtless homeless man stepped in front of the podium, and Sliwa approached him; waving off law enforcement as they stepped into help. Sliwa has said ‘not enough is being done to tackle the surge in homeless people at Penn Station’, and caused the man to break down in tears. The man said he didn’t want to ‘take advantage’ of the system, and seemed genuinely touched by Sliwa’s compassion.
An edited video was added to the mayoral candidate’s TikTok account, and has since received over 1.7m views. Watch the video below to see an incredibly touching moment.
