(North Elba, NY) — Two hikers walking through the woods in the Adirondacks last weekend, were so high that they thought a third hiker they were with, had passed away, and that they were lost and alone. They made an emergency call to forest rangers in North Elba to tell them what they believed had taken place.
Park rangers went searching for the hikers and found them pretty quickly. The hikers told them they tripping on hallucinogenic mushrooms. All three were just fine.
The ranger escorted the hikers down a mountain to an awaiting ambulance. They were checked out at a local hospital, and then released back to the woods.
