(New York, NY) – The biggest snow storm in years is heading to the region as a winter weather advisory is in effect for the city today. 3 to 5 inches of snow are expected across the 5 boroughs. In the metro area – 5 to 8 inches are expected. This is typically the coldest time of year in Central Park and 2025 seems to be playing by the rules with feels-like temperatures in the single digits.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency yesterday. Some areas of higher elevation in the Hudson Valley and in New Jersey could see up to a foot of snowfall.
