(Brooklyn, New York) A wild turkey has been spotted making his way through Brooklyn earlier this week. The animal was spotted near St. Brigid-St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Academy in Bushwick. Last week officials spotted a turkey in Midtown however, it’s unsure if they’re the same turkey or not.
Birdwatchers and people walking in the area got to delight in the unusual sight of the turkey hanging out. The Wild Bird Fund, a wildlife rehabilitation and education center is monitoring the situation. A rescue attempt was made but the healthy bird flew away.
