WASHINGTON, DC- Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan is the Republican nominee for Speaker of the House. The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee was nominated Friday afternoon during a closed-door meeting. The vote was 124-81.  Jordan will now have to gain at least 217 votes from his own party to win the Speaker’s post during a vote on the House floor.
