NEW YORK (77WABC) — New York State health officials are issuing a warning about the flu, saying its already widespread and is expected to intensify.
Officials say more than half of the state’s 62 counties have confirmed cases, and the existing coronavirus pandemic could make it worse.
The uptick in flu cases this early in the season has state health officials urging everyone to get their annual flu shot.
Lab-confirmed flu cases have been on the rise since September, with just under 600 cases reported last week.
