NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD is looking for a thief who attacked a disabled man in a wheelchair and stole from him on a Staten Island bus earlier this month.

Police say the robbery happened around 9 p.m. on Aug. 13 on the S40 MTA bus. Cops add that the thief stood up behind the 64-year-old victim, who was sitting in a wheelchair, and removed $250 cash from his shirt pocket as the bus stopped at Clinton Avenue and Richmond Terrace.
Police describe the thief as a male approximately in his 20s, 5’7″ tall, 160 pounds, with a dark complexion, medium build, last seen wearing a black “TLC” t-shirt, black Nike basketball shorts, white socks and black sandals.
