Bronx, NY (77WABC)-A Bronx man is charged with murder and manslaughter among other charges in the shooting of three people, one fatally, during the early morning hours on Saturday August 27th.
At 3:50 am, police responded to a 911 call of people s hot near the corner of East Burnside Avenue and Grand Concourse in the Bronx. Officers found three shooting victims.
A 22 year old man, shot in his head, was pronounced dead at Saint Barnabas Hospital. A 25-year-old man shot in his left leg was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say a 22-year-old was taken to St. Barnabas in critical condition after being shot in his torso.
The NYPD arrested 22-year-old Roman Anderson of 2975 White Plains Road in the Bronx away from the scene of the shooting. In addition to murder and manslaughter charges. Anderson is also charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police say a firearm has not been recovered.
The man killed has been identified as 22-year-old Joshua Thomas of 2550 Olinville Ave, in the Bronx, NY.
An investigation is ongoing.
