U.S.-WASHINGTON, D.C.-CAPITOL-DONALD TRUMP
NEW YORK (AP) — Two Brooklyn men have been arrested on trespassing and disorderly conduct charges in the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.
Federal prosecutors on Tuesday announced the arrests of 26-year-old Antonio Ferrigno Jr. and 23-year-old Francis Connor. They are among nearly 600 individuals who have been charged in the insurrection that resulted when supporters of former President Donald Trump descended on the Capitol.
During the seige, some of the rioters pushed past police barriers, assaulted officers and caused lawmakers to flee in a bid to overturn the election in which Joe Biden won the presidency.
Lawyers for Ferrigno and Connor did not immediately return messages.
