(New York, NY/77WABC)-A 73-year-old man walking early Saturday on a midtown Manhattan street when he was suddenly punched and knocked to the ground. Police are hoping the public can help identify the suspect involved in the violence.
The incident, in front of 448 Wests 47th St., was captured on nearby surveillance video which you can view below:

The NYPD says that on Saturday, April 3, 2020, at approximately 8:50 am, the 73-year-old man was in front of 448 West 47 Street when an unknown male individual ran at him and punched him in the chest, knocking him to the ground. The unknown individual fled eastbound on West 47 Street toward 9 Avenue. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Mount Sinai West in stable condition.
The individual is described as a dark-skinned-male approximately 28-30 years old 5’10” tall, 150-160 lbs, and was last seen wearing a red jacket, gray sweatpants, black shoes, and a dark-colored baseball cap.
