The overturned truck on the northbound outer roadway north of Interchange 11 is expected to take hours to offload and clean up. The inner roadway has reopened, but the outer remains closed. If you travel the Turnpike in the a.m., make sure you check traffic before you leave home https://t.co/Z9tQTbnRc5

Motorists were still facing heavy delays early Thursday on a stretch of the New Jersey Turnpike as crews continued to clean up after a tanker truck carrying propane overturned and burst into flames. The accident occurred Wednesday night in the northbound lanes of the highway in Woodbridge. It wasn’t clear if the truck driver or anyone else was injured in the crash. Crews were still off-loading the propane Thursday morning, and the process was expected to continue through the morning commute. The highway’s northbound outer lanes remained closed from Mansfield Township in Burlington County to the Cleveland Service Area north of Exit 11 in Woodbridge.
