(Palm Beach, FL) — With his re-election in doubt, and under a cloud of bribery charges Mayor Adams is in Florida today to meet with President-elect Trump at Mar A Lago. Trump has the power to pardon Adams, and has said in the past that he would consider the move. City Hall put out a statement Thursday night, saying Mayor Adams is meeting with President-elect Trump to discuss New Yorkers’ priorities.
There have been lots of whispers that Adams is considering jumping parties, becoming a Republican in a bid to help his chances to win re-election. Some New Yorkers wonder if the two will talk about Adams aligning himself with Trump to turn City Hall red.
