At 77WABC, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the achievements of Hispanic Americans and their contributions to our great country. The month-long celebration begins in the middle rather than the start of September because it coincides with national independence days in several Latin American countries, including El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, followed by Mexico on Sept. 16th, Chile on Sept. 18th and Belize on Sept. 21th.
