Fireworks will fly all across the Tri-State

syndication-metrowest-daily-news-11

(New York, NY) — Pyrotechnics are hard at work getting 80-thousand shells ready for the Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show on the East River.  Spectators will see some new fireworks this year, including one that will look like a 16-hundred foot waterfall going from the Brooklyn Bridge to the water’s edge, and another that will change colors eight times as it explodes. There’s also for the first time projection mapping on the Brooklyn Bridge. Other effects include crackling crown jellyfish, sunbursts and comet fans.

There are performances starting at eight p.m. that include Jonas Brothers, Eric Church and Lenny Kravitz. The fireworks will start around 9:25 and last around 25 minutes.

There will be plenty of fireworks displays for folks to enjoy throughout New Jersey on the 4th of July. There will be shows at Gardner Field in Denville, at Veteran’s Field in Hanover and along the promenade in Long Branch. In South Jersey, fireworks will go off at Recreation Field in Stone Harbor and on the beach in Ocean City.
