An 8-year-old proves he is no Dum-Dum

syndication-monroe-evening-news-5

(Lexington, KY) — A Kentucky mom is getting her money back after her eight-year-old son ordered 70-thousand lollipops on Amazon. Holly LaFavers says Liam ordered 30 cases of Dum-Dums while playing on her phone, and earlier this week she was charged 42-hundred dollars for the purchase.  LaFavers says she tried stopping the transaction from going through before they arrived, but it was too late.

On Monday, she posted photos of the lollipops stacked up on her front porch. Yesterday, LaFavers reported that Amazon was refunding her money, and that her bank was waiving the fees. Since then, she’s been able to sell some of the lollipops and donated some. And she said her son is not allowed to use her phone anymore.
