(New York, NY) — Door Dash is paying millions of dollars to workers in New York, after the State Attorney General says the app cheated them out of tip money.  Attorney General Letitia James says more than 60-thousand delivery workers, working between May 2017 and September 2019 stand to receive payments ranging from ten-dollars to 14-thousand-dollars after the company agreed to a nearly 17-million-dollar settlement. Tisch says the company made customers believe their tips were going directly to workers, but sometimes the money  was used to cover the cost of the meals.

Door Dash has not admitted to any wrongdoing and the company says their settlement with New York is related to an old payment model.
