(Edgewater, NJ) — Edgewater, New Jersey police are still unsure who left human feces in a local church there last week. It was found in the baptismal font of the Church of the Holy Rosary on Undercliff Avenue. Parishioners say they are shocked by the sick crime and could not remember any kind of bias attacks in the church that dates back to 1907.
Church leaders say they are now locking doors and shortening hours as police search for the creep behind the strange incident. The Archdiocese of Newark says it’s aware of the offensive act, and is in touch with local authorities.
