Prayers for Pope Francis

syndication-courier-post-24

(Rome, Italy) — Pope Francis remains in critical condition with blood tests showing he has pneumonia and also now has mild signs of kidney failure too. Leaders at the Vatican say the pontiff has a mild renal insufficiency “which is under control.” The 88-year-old pontiff is receiving oxygen therapy. Sources say Francis has been eating and talking with his closest advisors.

New York City Catholics are praying for the ailing Pope. Hundreds flocked to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Sunday mass.  Cardinal Dolan told the faithful that Pope Francis is resting comfortably and has a history of overcoming health issues to lead the Catholic Church.

Francis was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli hospital on February 14th after he had difficulty breathing and was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.
