(Trenton, NJ) — The mysterious drone sightings in the skies over New Jersey have taken place nightly for at least two weeks now. No one seems to know who is piloting them and what information they may be gathering. The unmanned flights have been seen hovering over sensitive sites, including police stations and President-elect Trump’s Bedminster golf course.
Governor Phil Murphy saying 49 drones were spotted on Sunday night alone. The Governor says he has been in touch with the White House and Homeland Security, but no one has given him any real information on the drones. The FBI is leading the investigation. They are asking anyone who has spotted the drones or has information about them to give them a call.
One New Jersey police department is taking matters into its own hands to investigate the mysterious drones. Toms River police are now flying their own unmanned aircraft to figure out what is going on. They say what’s most concerning is that no one has seen the drones taking off or landing.
