(Washington, D.C) — World leaders are congratulating President-elect Donald Trump today. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X that he appreciated Trump’s “commitment to ‘peace through strength.'” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the turn of events “a powerful recommitment to the great alliance” between Israel and the U.S. U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer congratulated Trump on his “historic” election victory, saying the U.K.-U.S. “special relationship will continue to prosper.
President Emmanuel Macron, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni were also among many world leaders offering good wishes to the soon to be 47th President of the United States.
