Wait, What was in a veterinarian’s home?

(Oyster Bay, NY) — The Long Island ASPCA says they had never seen anything like what they found in a veterinarian’s Oyster Bay home on Thursday. Inside were wall to wall cages filled with dogs, cats and exotic birds. There were also piles of junk so high that it made it almost impossible for workers to get in and save the animals. In all, workers in hazmat suits took 200 animals out of the Woodbury Road house. Workers did not detail the condition of all the animals, though they did say some would be up for adoption.

The Nassau County SPCA was called to the home after a worker saw dead cats in front the yard. The vet who lives there is in her 70’s and is still working with animals at local practice. The unnamed woman’s home has been condemned now. A neighbor says they had no idea what was taking place in the house. The owner of the home will likely face a slew of animal abuse charges.
