(Washington, DC) – President Donald Trump is escalating rhetoric toward Iran, warning of imminent consequences if tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz are not resolved.

In a post shared on social media, Trump referenced a previous ultimatum he says he gave Tehran—either “make a deal” or reopen the critical global shipping route. He added that “time is running out,” claiming there are now just “48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them,” signaling a potential sharp escalation if demands are not met.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most strategically important waterways, with a significant portion of global oil supply passing through it daily. While Trump’s comments have not been accompanied by any official policy announcement, the language underscores rising tensions in the region and raises concerns about possible military or economic fallout if the situation deteriorates further.
