(Wall Street, New York) – Wall Street hit another major milestone Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing back above 50,000 as investors pushed stocks higher across the board.

The Dow gained more than 370 points, finishing at 50,063.46. The S&P 500 also made history, closing above 7,500 for the first time, while the Nasdaq posted another strong finish as tech and artificial intelligence names continued leading the market.

The rally was helped by a powerful move in Cisco, which surged after stronger-than-expected earnings and guidance. Nvidia also gave the market a boost after reports that the U.S. cleared several Chinese firms to buy its H200 artificial intelligence chip.

The gains came despite continued concerns over oil prices, inflation and instability in the Middle East. Investors are watching whether the U.S. and China can keep tensions from spilling deeper into energy markets, especially with the Strait of Hormuz still a major global concern.

For now, Wall Street is choosing earnings strength over fear — and the Dow is back above one of its biggest psychological levels.
