(New York, NY) – Former President Donald Trump said he would try to make peace between Russia and Ukraine if he is elected commander-in-chief again. He met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York to talk about the country’s ongoing war with Russia. Zelensky is demanding more help from the U.S. to fight and achieve his so-called “victory plan”.

Trump mentioned he has a good relationship with Putin and believes a deal could be worked out quickly if he wins. Zelensky agreed that they need to work together to stop the war.

After the meeting, Trump told Fox News that he thinks a fair agreement can happen soon, but Zelensky stressed that Russian troops must leave Ukraine completely. This meeting also comes at a crucial time with the upcoming November election. Zelensky had just met with President Biden the day before and Vice President Kamala Harris.
