FDNY adds more names to 9-11 memorial wall

(New York, NY) — New York City is paying tribute to more firefighters who have passed away from 9-11 related illnesses. The department will add 32 names to the Memorial Wall of firefighters who died of illnesses related to their work in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center. A ceremony will be held at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn on Wednesday. The Department has lost more than 360 members since the 9-11 attacks to World Trade Center related cancers.
