(New York, NY) – We know Taylor Swift tickets are tough to come by, but there is a new hot Taylor-Swift related purchase that her most loyal fans are making. Swifties sold out the “Cornelia St” sign that was up for grabs. The Department of Transportation regularly hosts these special sales through “The City Store”, the official gift shop of the city.
Swift used to reside on Cornelia St in Greenwich Village and even has an entire song dedicated to the road on her 2019 album, “Lover”. There were 200 signs up for grabs and they were priced at $75 each. Apparently it took mere hours for the limited stock to completely sell out in about 3 hours. Fans were able to choose between a ‘Sunset Pink’ colorway, resembling the Swift album cover, or the ‘Historic District Brown’. There were 100 available for each of those colors.
NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez said “We look forward to our next monthly sign drop, which allow all who love New York City to celebrate the people, places, and special occasions that make this the greatest city in the world.” Other street signs that sold out in the past include Christopher Street/Stonewall Place in June and Beastie Boys Square in July. The signs are hand-made at the DOT Sign Shop, which puts out 70,000 signs every year.
