(New York, NY) – Former President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he is open to debating Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris recently became the presumptive Democratic nominee after President Biden dropped out of the race. Trump and Biden were originally scheduled for a second debate on ABC on September 10th, however Trump pulled out of that event.
Trump in his post on social media, said that he is open to moving networks and hosting the debate on Fox News in Pennsylvania on September 4th. The rules would be similar to the first Biden and Trump debate, however this event would open the arena up to a live audience.
Harris responded to Trump’s new stipulations on social media. In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Harris said that she still plans on seeing him at that September debate. It is not clear if ABCNews will try to move forward with the event.
It’s interesting how “any time, any place” becomes “one specific time, one specific safe space.”
I’ll be there on September 10th, like he agreed to. I hope to see him there. https://t.co/zqng89X8QD
