(New York, NY) – City Comptroller Brad Lander has been eyeing a possible challenge to Mayor Eric Adams. However, according to the New York Post, he has quite a lengthy record of driving infractions. In total, Lander has racked up 133 traffic summonses since 2013.

Lander has been an outspoken advocate for mass transit, and more recently, the congestion pricing plan that was blocked by Governor Kathy Hochul. Landers faced criticism from City Councilmembers from his own party. Councilman Robert Holden of Queens said, “God help us if this guy ever gets even close to Gracie Mansion.”

A spokesperson for Lander declined to make a statement on the traffic violations, and also did not confirm if Lander would challenge Adams in the mayoral primary race.
