(Paramus, NJ) — A group of city workers in Paramus are recovering after hundreds of bees attacked them while they were trimming trees on Thursday. The three employees were working in the area near Howland Avenue Village Circle, when they were attacked. One was severely injured and the other two were stung multiple times. All three were hospitalized. The trio was in a bucket truck when the bees stung them.

The city contacted a beekeeper to manage the situation. The beekeeper say the bees should just be left alone and they will soon return to the hives the came from. Residents in the neighborhood were told to stay inside Thursday until the bee threat passed.
