Target No Longer Accepting This Form of Payment

mixcollage-08-jul-2024-01-10-pm-2396

Not many people are using personal checks when paying at Target -- so the store is going to remove the option this month.

(Minneapolis, MN) – If the phrase “cash is king” still holds up — one might be able to say “checks are toast” — in that personal checks are largely becoming a thing of the past.

Of course, some people probably still pay their rent using paper checks. Others still need them when giving gifts at weddings or sending birthday cards to family members. But Target will soon no longer accept personal checks when people go to pay for their wares at stores.

The retail giant says the personal checks policy will go into effect on July 15. Cash, digital wallet payments, debit and credit cards will also be accepted. According to Target, “extremely low volumes” of checks are presently being accepted anyway. Company officials say this will help foster an easy and convenient checkout experience.
