(New York, New York) – 77’s Sid Rosenberg ignited a social media firestorm today by publicly attacking Mayor Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of anti-American and antisemitic views and urging President Donald Trump to take action.
In a now-viral tweet, Rosenberg addressed Trump directly as “the best President in the 250-year history of our country,” and pleaded with him to stop giving credibility to what he called an “America-hating mayor.” Rosenberg sharply criticized Mamdani’s coverage of several national issues, including the capture of Nicolás Maduro, immigration enforcement, and the U.S.–Israel military operation against Iran.
“How many times does this terrorist sympathizer have to spit in your face Mr. President before you say enough is enough?” Rosenberg wrote, calling Mamdani an “America-hating, Jew-hating, Radical Islam cockroach” and demanding Trump “put this little antisemite in his place.” The tweet closed with “God Bless America 🇺🇸 and God Bless Israel 🇮🇱.”

Mayor Mamdani responded to the tweet later in the day, rejecting Rosenberg’s language and placing emphasis on his commitment to his responsibilities as mayor. “This language is painfully familiar,” he said in his own post, stressing that he has “far more urgent work in front of me” and reaffirming that “there is no amount of racism that will change the way in which I lead.”
