A vocal supporter of President Biden is sharing his thoughts following a poor showing at the first televised presidential debate. Anthony Scaramucci, often known as “The Mooch,” is an American financier, entrepreneur, and former member of the Trump administration. Scaramucci briefly served as the White House Communications Director in July 2017, a tenure that lasted only 11 days due to his controversial and candid remarks.

Scaramucci spoke to 77WABC’s “Cats and Cosby” show, where he said that he doubts Biden can even make it to November. The former Communication Director said that he supports swapping out the candidate on the Democratic ticket. He went on to say that he believes that Vice President Kamala Harris would make the most sense to replace 81-year-old Biden.

Biden has faced growing calls to step aside and reports of doubts from his allies have been circling since he stumbled over his words last Thursday. Scaramucci says that he got the chance to see Biden in person at a fundraiser after the debate, noting that he appeared “frail”.

The President says that he remains committed to running in the race.
