(New York, New York) – Hurricane Beryl is still moving, destroying things in its path in the Atlantic, but will it move north to NYC? As of the current forecast, Beryl is still driving west through the Caribbean and as the week goes on it is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico.

Beryl became the earliest Category 4 Atlantic hurricane on record on Sunday, beating Hurricane Dennis’s previous record set on July 8, 2005.

Hurricane Beryl has maximum sustained winds of 130 mph. Earlier this year NOAA issued their most aggressive hurricane season forecast on record but the tri-state is yet to be impacted. As of now, Hurricane Beryl is not expected to travel north, but New Yorkers are still expected to get hit this season.
