(New York, New York) – Triple A is predicting that more than 43 million people will travel more than 50 miles to get to their Memorial Day Weekend destinations. Some will take mass transit but 38 million are expected to drive. As for gas prices, you can expect the same as last year around this time with an average of $3.57 a gallon.
Triple A is urging people to give themselves some buffer time if they plan on leaving during rush hour (2pm-4pm). They say, the best time to hit the road without getting too much traffic is after 7pm.
