(Washington, D.C.) — South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott says he supports drug tests for President Biden and Donald Trump before their first presidential debate on June 27th. Over the weekend, Trump said Biden should be drug tested before the first face-off, claiming the President was “high as a kite” during his State of the Union address. Scott says he too felt Biden’s State of the Union performance was “surreal.” Scott is considered to be on Trump’s shortlist for vice president.
President Biden and former President Donald Trump are set to face off in general election debates scheduled for June and September. The two will participate in a CNN debate on June 27th in Atlanta, and a second debate hosted by ABC News on September 10th.
