NEW YORK, NY –Sam Ash is downsizing –planning to close more than two dozen stores, including two of its three city locations: 34th Street in Midtown and Forest Hills. The store’s only location in Connecticut will also be closing. Sam Ash’s New Haven store recently announced it will be closing. Sam Ash has been a fixture in NYC for nearly a century—-anchoring probably its most popular store back in its heyday on 48th street in midtown–with the street commonly referred to as Music row, attracting musicians from all over the world.
