(Washington, DC) — President Biden and former President Trump will visit the U.S.-Mexico border on Thursday, Trump was first to announce he was going to the border, followed by an announcement from the Whitehouse that Biden will be in Brownsville, Texas while Trump will visit Eagle Pass, Texas. Biden is under increasing pressure to take charge at the border as migrants continue to cross over into the U.S on a daily basis. President Biden is urging Republicans to take up the border deal recently negotiated by a bipartisan group of Senators. The deal collapsed earlier this month after sharp opposition from Republicans who say it didn’t go far enough to stem the flow of illegal immigration.

Biden is set to meet with Border Patrol, law enforcement and local leaders in Brownsville, Texas. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will visit with leaders in the Texas border town of Eagle Pass.
