(Las Vegas, NV)  — The Super Bowl broke records Sunday, with 123 million viewers. That’s the highest number of people ever to watch the same broadcast in TV history.  CBS says 112 million watched the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers on TV. Around 11 million others took in the game on CBS owned streamers, including, Paramount,  Nickelodeon, and Univision. This year’s game breaks last year’s record when 115 million viewers watched the big game on Fox.

CBS executives were ready to admit that the number may have been juiced in part to the high-profile romantic relationship between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift.
