John Catsimatidis Jr, who has been working directly under his father, John Catsimatidis at the New York-based conglomerate Red Apple Group, has been appointed as the chief operating officer and president of the company.
Prior to this promotion, Catsimatidis Jr had been responsible for investments for approximately four years and had led the transformation and restructuring team at the firm, as stated by Red Apple Group. Catsimatidis Jr officially assumed the role of COO on January 3rd and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations as well as driving long-term strategic initiatives at Red Apple Group and it’s companies including Gristedes and D’Agostino Supermarkets, United Metro Energy Corporation, United Refining Company, United Energy Plus Terminals, Red Apple Media and WABC Radio.
