Protests unfolded yet again in NYC on Christmas evening.
(New York, NY) – Several people were reportedly arrested when yet another Pro-Palestinian protest unfolded on Christmas night in New York City. Dozens gathered along Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, outside of the News Corp building — where Fox News broadcasts from. The group rallied there and demonstrated, with many calling for an immediate ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas.
This type of demonstration has become almost commonplace for New York City ever since Hamas launched a terrorist attack in Israel, on October 7, 2023. Some who oppose Israel — or Zionism — have since come out in opposition to the IDF’s response, which has included air strikes.
Egyptian officials recently proposed a ceasefire solution that would see Hamas replaced by a panel of Palestinian experts. It also calls for the staggered release of additional hostages, held by Hamas. But both sides have reportedly rejected the deal.
