(New York, NY) — A New York City landlord has done it again, he has been named the city’s worst slum lord. The New York City Public Advocate, who puts together the annual “worst landlord” list  says Johnathan Santana was number one again thanks to his over 3,000 open violations. Santana is part owner of 15 buildings in Manhattan and Queens. A tenant who lives in one of Santana’s midtown buildings says he has lived in squalor for years and has begged the building owners to fix all that is wrong. Tenant John Reeds says he has lived without heat and hot water, and faulty electrical wiring that started a fire on the roof of the West 46th Street building. He says ceilings in the building have crumbled to the floor.  Another tenant, in a Santana building in upper Manhattan says she fears the building could collapse at any moment because it’s in such bad shape.
