CORONA, QUEENS – The owner of a jewelry shop in Queens was shot during a robbery inside his store Tuesday night, according to police.
Police responded to 35-55 Junction Boulevard in Corona around 6:30 p.m. for reports of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found a 59-year-old man, the owner, with gunshot wounds.
Three men bursted into the jewelry store that shares space with a beauty salon.
The suspects opened fire hitting the owner in the right thigh and grazing him in the head and were scene fleeing the scene on mopeds with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
No arrests have been made.
