(Atlanta, GA) — Two off-duty NYPD cops, who just happened to be visiting the childhood home of Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta last night, stopped a woman from burning down the famed home. The officers and some other tourists saw a woman pouring buckets of gas all over the house. She was moments away from lighting a match when she was stopped. The NYPD cops held her until Atlanta police arrived on the scene. It’s unclear who the woman was and why she wanted to burn King’s house down. Atlanta police saluting the NYPD cops as heroes.

Video from a witness shows a woman dressed in all black pouring gasoline on the windows and in the bushes of outside the King house. The  26-year-old woman has been charged with criminal attempt arson and criminal attempt interference with government property.
