ALBANY, NY- Governor Hochul issued a proclamation on Tuesday declaring a special election to fill the vacancy in the 3rd Congressional District created by the expulsion of George Santos from the United States House of Representatives. The special election will occur on Tuesday, February 13th 2024.
The Chairman of the Nassau County Republican Committee says they’re being cautious in checking the background of potential candidates.
Democrats are expected to soon announce the backing of the candidate of their choice.
As for Santos—he needs a job—and has reportedly been selling personalized video messages for 200 dollars.
