White Plains, New York–Westchester County Executive George Latimer could announce as early as Tuesday that he’s running for Congress in New York’s 16th Congressional district. The District includes parts of Westchester and the Bronx. Representative Jamaal Bowman is that seats incumbent. Latimer was elected County Executive in 2018. His term runs through 2025. The 70 year old Latimer on Monday filed paperwork for a Democratic primary face off with Bowman. Latimer recently returned from a trip to Israel.
