Doctors say dog owners can help protect their pooches by making sure their vaccinations are up to date. The respiratory virus does not seem to respond well to antibiotics. It has not reached New York, but local vets says it’s only a matter of time till it does. They say it may be best to keep dogs out of dog parks until the medical world has a good handle on the virus.
